Dad's are known for getting to be the "fun" ones, and honestly I love embracing that during my sessions. Dad's get to hold their kids upside down by their feet, bear hug the whole lot, chase them around like a monster, and ride little ones around on their shoulders. Guys these are the BEST kind of smiles. I feel like you can literally hear the giggles, and that is magic in my book.
Oh, and the sweet moments...
We know Dad's are strong and brave. They are protectors and providers. But there's a tender side there, a "soft side". The side that wipes tears away, kisses boo-boos, nervously holds his precious newborn baby, and straightens his son's tie on his wedding day. And of course, Daddy and his little girl. If you are a Daddy's girl or know one, you know you never stop being his little girl no matter how old you are. One of my very favorite shots is a Dad dancing with his daughter. This shot is always beautiful no matter the age.
So shout out to all the wonderful Daddy's out there, bringing life and laughter to their children's worlds, and here's to bringing a lot more of these moments to the public perspective.
